Welcoming the light: Celebrate Imbolc at the farm

Imbolc marks the midpoint between the Winter Solstice and the Spring Equinox, when the first quiet signs of returning light and new life begin to stir. It’s a time of hope, renewal, and looking ahead to Spring.

Join us at the farm as we come together to celebrate this turning of the year and welcome the beginning of Spring.

Imbolc Farm Celebration

1st of February

We’re hosting a family-friendly day of activities to mark Imbolc, with something for all ages to enjoy.

Brigid Doll Making – This traditional Imbolc craft, usually made from rushes or straw, represents Brigid, the Celtic goddess and Irish saint associated with hearth, home, and new life. Create your own Brigid doll as a way of welcoming Spring.

All materials provided. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Performances from Rag Morris – The vibrant and joyful Rag Morris will be bringing energy and colour to the farm with their eclectic tatterjackets and bells. Catch their lively performances at 11:00am and 12:30pm.

Jumble Sale – Give pre-loved clothing a fresh start this Spring. Items donated by our stylish staff will be on sale for £2 each.

Pay what you can, or come along for free!
