We are excited to announce that the farm now has its very own audio tour!

It’s been two years in the making, and many of our staff and volunteers have been involved in the process, but the tour is finally up and running. You will find the clearly marked signs at various points around the site.

The audio tour signs are designed to be accessible for visually impaired visitors and try to describe some areas of the farm in a sensory way, for example, thinking about what visitors might be able to smell, feel or hear.

At Windmill Hill City Farm, accessibility is one of our top priorities. We strive to make the farm a calm inner-city oasis for everyone to enjoy, so we are thrilled that visually-impaired people can now have a fuller experience when they visit us.

The QR codes link to Soundcloud, where you need to press play to listen to the recordings. There are 12 different audio tour points around the farmyard and gardens. We hope you enjoy listening to them!

A huge thank you to the Big Give Green Match Fund, which funded this tour in 2023.
