Creativity for Wellbeing: Adult Art Course

Creativity for Wellbeing 10-week free art courses, run by South Gloucestershire and Stroud College, are aimed at providing a creative outlet for people who may be going through a difficult period and looking for a way to cope with this through art.

If you are experiencing conditions such as stress, depression, behaviour-related health issues, bereavement, major life changes, chronic pain or illness, then these courses offer a wonderful space to relax and enjoy the art-making process.

The emphasis is placed on learning skills and techniques through playful experimentation and practical exercises. The student will be helped and guided towards finding their own interests and visual language through collage, drawing, painting and mixed media, without the pressure of a final outcome.

When?

There are two courses starting in April 2024:

Mondays – 15th April to 24th June from 10am to 1pm (no session 27th May)
Wednesdays  – 17th April to 26th June from 10am to 1pm (no session 29th May)

Although courses are for 10 weeks, you can start throughout the course depending on spaces.
