As we approach the end of another memorable year at Windmill Hill City Farm, we want to say thanks to everyone who has visited, volunteered and supported the farm this year.

Please note that the farm will be closed over Christmas to give our staff, volunteers, and animals a well-earned rest. We hope you all enjoy a peaceful festive break. Remember, if you are looking to donate to the farm this Christmas, you can do so here.

What a year 2025 has been! Here’s some of our top moments.

  • You helped us to raise £13,000 for our big give campaign.
  • Migrateful, the wonderful migrant-led cookery school, joined the farm.
  • We welcomed many new animals to the farm, including our Torwen Badger face ram.
  • We worked with over 3000 children within our outdoor learning programme.
  • We worked with almost 500 volunteers
  • Our sow gave birth to 13 piglets!
  • Our nursery earned gold from Bristol Eating Better for its incredible food.
  • We fixed and improved our much-loved dragon swing, thanks to your incredible generosity.

And next year, we can’t wait to celebrate the farm’s 50th Anniversary! Please keep your eyes peeled for loads of exciting celebrations, activities, and surprises as we mark this very special milestone. Sign up for our newsletter here to be the first to know what we have planned in 2026.

Wishing you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from everyone at Windmill Hill City Farm. See you in 2026!
