Learning Together is an intergenerational project to bring older people together with younger people sharing skills and activities, all supported by volunteers aged 50+.
The project will run until May 2017 and its aim is to encourage older people to get involved in the community by sharing their skills and learning (such as craft or local history) in a supported environment.
Our first event will be providing craft activities at the Winter Fair on 10th December. We had a great first session on Wednesday 16th November to practice crafts, chat and have a cuppa.
We will be running another session on Wednesday 30th November 10am to 12 noon with free refreshments. It’s open to all over 55’s who would like to find out more about the project. You can download the flyer below for more information.
If you would like to learn more about the project, know an older person who may benefit, or need assistance getting to the City Farm, please get in touch Julie Thorpe – email firstname.lastname@example.org or phone 0117 963 3252.
