Did you know Windmill Hill City Farm is a bat haven?
Recently, Peter from the BS3 Wildlife Group kindly installed a ‘bat cam’ in our middle paddock. He has been recording the number of bats that visit the area.
And the results are in!

We have recorded a huge number of bats in the area and a whopping 9 different species!
As well as plenty of Common Pipistrelles and Soprano Pipistrelles, we have also recorded a few rarer species, like the Greater Horseshoe Bat (pictured) and a Natterer’s Bat.
We pride ourselves on bringing a little slice of nature to the city of Bristol, and we are thrilled that so many bats call our little farm home.
