Volunteering

We offer a wide range of volunteering opportunities for over 18s across the farm to meet the needs of our diverse community.

Most of these opportunities are during the week, between the hours of 9.30am – 4.30pm. We currently have one group at the weekend, gardening on a Saturday morning.

Volunteering opportunities

Supported volunteering

Suitable for anyone with mild to moderate mental ill health wanting to improve their mental health through farm activities and connecting with others.

Corporate volunteering

Suitable for local organisations wanting to give back to their community. Our corporate volunteering season runs from April to October.

Gardening Volunteering

Suitable for anyone with mild mental health issues wanting to improve their wellbeing through time spent in green space with others.

Supported Farm Placements

Suitable for adults with learning difficulties. Placements can be arranged through individual personal payments or referrals through Bristol City Council’s Support Planning team.

Practical Gardening volunteering

Suitable for anyone able to work independently on a variety of gardening tasks. Sessions take place on Tuesday afternoons or Saturday mornings and are supervised by Ben, our Gardens Manager.
