We’ve won the Green Flag Award for another year running, recognising us as one of the country’s best green spaces.

Managed by environmental charity Keep Britain Tidy, the award scheme acknowledges and rewards well-managed parks and green spaces across the UK that represent the gold standard for the management of recreational outdoor spaces.

The award is judged on a range of criteria, including how safe, secure and welcoming a site feels, its understanding of and provision for its community and its impact on the environment, including use of chemicals and peat-based products that cause damage to the environment.

Providing for our community is at the heart of everything we do at Windmill Hill City Farm and we’re thrilled to have our on-going efforts to make our farm safe, welcoming and enjoyable to all recognized by the Green Flag Award.

Keep Britain Tidy’s Accreditation Manager Paul Todd said:

“Windmill Hill City Farm is a vital green space for the community in Bristol. This award is testament to all the hard work of staff and volunteers, who do so much to ensure that it maintains the high standards demanded by the Green Flag Award.”
