This June, The Nest Collective’s “Campfire Club” is coming to Bristol for the first time.
For over five years, Campfire Club has been the way for Londoners to gather in beautiful green spaces and listen to amazing music by artists from all over the world. We come together in the simple way that people have done for thousands of years, around the fire with food, drink, music and each other. The performances are unamplified, allowing you to get up close and personal and hear the artists’ music in a very intimate way.
Scottish singer, guitarist, and musical collaborator Alasdair Roberts is multiple award winning solo artist, a gifted interpreter of traditional songs, a songwriter/composer, and one quarter of critically acclaimed folk outfit The Furrow Collective.
Alasdair is one of a rare breed of musicians whose work has found favour with aficionados of both experimental/avant-garde music and traditional/folk music – as such, he has been the cover star of both Wire Magazine (March 2010) and fRoots Magazine (October 2003 and January/February 2017).
