Mothership Writers is a free year-long programme of writing workshops for new* mothers in Bristol, starting in April 2019.
Bringing together women and their babies, Mothership Writers will spark your imagination, get you writing, and empower you to tell your story of new motherhood with honesty and authenticity. It’s an opportunity to nurture your creative side and carve out some time for you – while feeling the benefits of putting pen to paper.
Over the course of 25 fortnightly sessions, we’ll work towards creating an anthology: a frontline dispatch of new motherhood. No writing experience? No worries! Workshops will be led by Bristol-based novelist and creator of Mothership Writers Emylia Hall – and a relaxed, friendly, and inspiring atmosphere is guaranteed.
There are forty places available – and they’re free, thanks to the project being supported using public funding by the National Lottery through Arts Council England.
*In the first trimester of pregnancy, or with a baby under one at the start of the course.
Start date: Friday 12th April 2019
Time: 1.30pm to 3pm
