Hand-Building Pottery

Here is an 8-week course, run by Mini Potters, designed to give adult learners an introduction to hand-building pottery.

You will explore different techniques such as coiling, slab building and press-moulding. Once your work has been fired, you will then be able to try different surface decoration techniques to create a finished piece of glazed work.

The sessions are designed to be relaxed and informal and will give learners a chance to work independently to create interesting and unique pieces.

End date: Thursday 2nd May 2019
Time: 7pm to 9pm
Sessions: 8 
Cost: £148 – that’s £18.50 for each session and includes all materials and firing 
For: adults – suitable for beginners and also those with previous experience

About the tutor

Liz has been a lecturer for 10 years, teaching in further and higher education institutions including Bristol School of Art, City and Guilds of London Art School and The Interactive Design Institute. She has a BA from Manchester School of Art and an MA in Art and Design from the University of Wolverhampton.

Through her own practice, Liz specialises in a variety of disciplines including ceramics, glass and printmaking.
