Hand-Building Pottery

If you’ve always wanted to have a go at hand-building pottery, then now’s your chance!

Here is an 8-week course, run by Mini Potters, designed to give adult learners an introduction to hand-building pottery.

You will explore different techniques such as coiling, slab building and press-moulding. Once your work has been fired, you will then be able to explore different surface decoration techniques to create a finished piece of glazed work.

Liz runs 6 weeks of the hand-building course and Jess runs 2 of the sessions on decoration and glazing.

The sessions are designed to be relaxed and informal and will give learners a chance to work independently to create interesting and unique pieces.

Start date: Thursday 30th May 2019
End date: Thursday 18th July 2019
Time: 7pm to 9pm
Sessions: 8
Cost: £148 – that’s £18.50 for each session and includes all materials and firing
For: adults – suitable for beginners and also those with previous experience
