School visits

The City Farm’s education team are passionate in supporting teachers to deliver the curriculum through experiential learning sessions. We are happy to adapt workshops to suit individual class needs and if there is a specific topic or curriculum area that you would like us to cover, please let us know.

“Whilst the Farm offers a range of excellent set learning experiences, staff are more than happy to accommodate changes to these and work in partnership with the school. (Larger organisations offer far more rigid learning experiences at a greater cost!)”

Primary Outdoor Learning Co-ordinator, St Mary Redcliffe Primary School

Our 4.5 acre site includes allotments, animal paddocks, children’s garden, digging area, indoor growing space and an outdoor kitchen with cob oven.

Undercover space for lunch can be booked to extend your visit at £25 per hour.

A full day trip including two workshops and the undercover space for lunch costs £8 per child.

Workshops run for 1.5 – 2 hours with a maximum of 30 children. If you have a smaller group please contact us for prices.

10% off for visits booked by September and taken in September to January.

See the links for our most popular workshops.

We strongly encourage school/holiday club  groups to take up one of our established educational offers led by a member of staff, rather than to make a self-directed visit. It may not always be possible to accommodate self-directed group visits as they are usually focused into the peak 10am – 3pm period of the day at restricted times of the year. All school/holiday club groups must book ahead to ensure a visit is possible- see our Group Visits Policy (pdf)
