This placement is for individuals who have experienced a mental health challenge and want to get back into a work routine and develop a career hospitality and catering. The placement is in The City Farm Café, a popular Bristol eating place where customers experience a warm and cosy atmosphere in the winter, or can sit outside in the summer and enjoy our countryside surroundings in the city centre. The wholesome and tasty food is freshly prepared using our own farm produce wherever possible and is served by our friendly and welcoming staff.
You will work with the café manager and team to learn best practice in café and hospitality. Through your placement you will gain work experience whilst working with the café team to ensure that the café functions efficiently and effectively.

This 8 week work placement is for those who have had a mental health challenge and want to get back to work. The placement will be a chance to gain work related skills and experience of gardening and site maintenance.
Areas of focus will include ground maintenance, propagation, grass cutting, hedge trimming and more.

This placement is for individuals who have experienced a mental health challenge and are looking to build work experience with children. The placement is in an outdoor nursery called Farm Adventurers, a unique, all year-round opportunity for young children to experience farming and nature in the heart of the city and for parents/ carers to access courses and workshops, or to simply have some time. Farm Adventurers activities include animal care, growing vegetables, cooking, mud kitchen, nature play, pond dipping, bug hunting, music, and art.
The role will enable children aged two to five years to engage in Farm Adventurers sessions and help support the Farm Adventurers project. Main activities include working cooperatively alongside staff to deliver Farm Adventurers outdoor learning sessions, supporting the Farm Adventurers session leader to set up the session, organise breaks and pack up the session, and being a positive role model for children.
