Here are answers to some of the questions you may have about visiting us whilst social distancing restrictions apply:
We re-open to the public from Monday 13th July 2020.
To keep you, our staff, our volunteers and the community safe, we will need to restrict access to parts of the Farm. There will be signage and fencing to guide you around one-way systems, as well as queuing systems in busier areas to help you maintain social distancing. The Clarke Street gate will remain closed for now, with the front gates on Philip Street being the only entrance into the farm. If the site becomes over-crowded, please be aware that you may be asked to wait.
Our normal opening hours apply. We are open 7 days a week from 9am to 5pm.
The City Farm Café has temporarily moved to the front garden where tables are available under our new Big Top – a circus tent in the middle of the front garden. The café hours are 9.30am to 4pm, 7 days a week, with the kitchen closing at 3pm. Ordering will be at the blue kiosk hatch by the play area. When you’ve ordered, take a seat, listen out for your name, and we’ll bring everything to a drop-off point near the seating area. Please don’t move the tables around – it’s all been carefully measured. We are taking contact details at the point of ordering, to enable Test & Trace efforts.
No. Payment by card only please.
The Farm Shop will remain closed for now, but you can order online for collection, then meet a friend for a coffee at the same time as picking up your shopping!
The toilets in the farmyard are open.
There are hand washing facilities in the farmyard. Please wash your hands regularly.
Yes it is, with a one-way system in and out. The entrance will be alongside the kiosk and the exit will be through the gate by Mini Potters.
The farmyard will be open to the public, entering via reception and exiting via the path at the side of the café.
Some other areas of the farm and gardens will be closed off to the public from time to time, mainly for volunteering groups. This table gives details:
