Overnight stay for Martin the donkey

On 8th October we had a very exciting visitor when Martin the donkey stayed with us overnight. His owner, Adam Lee,  is walking 700 miles across western Britain to raise money for the charity Centrepoint which helps homeless young people.

Our new artificial turf sports pitch

Earlier in the year we revamped our sports pitch and contracted astro-turf installers Synthetic Turf Management to complete the refurbishing of the existing "wet pour" rubber surface with a multi-use artificial turf alternative.

Potential nursery expansion update

Regular visitors may be aware that a proposal was brought to the farm by Bristol City Council to expand the nursery provision on site. This would require a new building.

Nursery expansion opportunity

Windmill Hill City Farm is considering an opportunity to increase its places for pre-school nursery children. If it goes ahead it will give an additional 32 places for 3-5 year-olds in an area that is desperately in need of more provision – and secure the financial future for the farm as a free community facility.
