Windmill Hill City Farm is open during February half term, so why not bring your kids down (no, we don’t mean your goats!) to the farm for some fresh air and outdoor fun.
Here are some half term activity ideas for you:
The play area at the City Farm provides a safe place for children and young people to play during half term. The low-level structures, nets and features provide interest to spark the imaginations of both young and young-at-heart and the landscaped environment provides a space for families to picnic.
Monday to Friday: 9am – 8pm
In 2018, we invested in a new 3G sports pitch. The high-quality, shock-absorbing surface will enhance the sporting experience for local teams!

Tuesday to Saturday – 10am to 4pm
Mini Potters is a paint it yourself pottery shed, where adults and kids can come down and create beautiful keepsakes or special gifts for any occasion – be it bespoke pottery pieces or clay imprints.

Thursday 21st – 10am to 12 noon
Join Windmill Hill City Farm’s half term Wild Outdoors Club, leave your computer behind and experience gaming themes outdoors, based around our farm.
Suitable for 6 to 9-year-olds
Cost: £10 per child
Thursday 21st – 1pm to 3pm
Families, come and join us during half term in our lovely Barn Kitchen to design and cook your very own mini pizza in our wood-burning oven.
Suitable for all ages but under 8s must be accompanied by an adult.
Cost: £2 per person
As part of the Windmills of Time project, there are a number of trails you can follow during half term to learn more about the history, animals and plants in the area while exploring the farm and gardens.
