Last Wednesday we were pleased to welcome two royals, Princess Alexandra and the Countess of Wessex to our farm for a visit.

The Princess and Countess had been to open the new regional centre for Guide Dogs South West in Bristol, nearby to the farm, of which Princess Alexandra has been a patron for 67 years.

Their Royal Highnesses enjoyed a tour of the farm helping to feed the goats, browsing the Home Grown Gift Shop (which sells all things handmade by local artists) and having tea in the café. They also met with representatives of Bristol MIND and Richmond Fellowship, who we’ve worked with for many years, in our work to support those with mental health challenges.

A big thanks to our team that did a fabulous job sweeping up a huge puddle that formed in the downfall just before the royal visit!
