From 1st of April we’ll no longer be a recycling collection point for baby pouches. The Terracycle scheme we’re currently part of is ending, but you can still drop off pouches at lots of local supermarkets.

During the time the scheme has been running we’ve collected over 52,000 pouches for recycling!

If you love the convenience of baby pouches but hate the amount of packaging it’s worth considering reusable baby pouches – there are loads available that you can fill with homemade baby food, then stick in the dishwasher!

Reduce comes before reuse in the 3R hierarchy and it’s one we think about a lot. Here are just a few of things we’ve done to reduce packaging and other waste:

♻️ Offering reusable, washable face cloths for little ones to reduce the use of baby wipes

♻️ Removed single-use takeaway cups and incentivising reusables

♻️ Removed single-use juice cartons and straws, replacing them with bag-in-box juices or homemade milkshakes served in reusable cups

♻️ switched our herbal teas over to loose-leaf herbs, saving paper sachets and cardboard boxes, while serving better tasting teas in the process
