Clarke Street Greenway

A useful, but neglected, walking route runs alongside the City Farm connecting Windmill Hill to Bedminster. With local residents and Greater Bedminster Community Partnership we are working to improve the environment along this route.

People Grow

‘People Grow’ is a three-year project supported by the Big Lottery Reaching Communities Fund. The project will target three groups – people without a garden (such as those living in flats), families and schools – providing opportunities and encouraging them to take part in food growing, gardening, farming and other outdoor activities.

Undercover Gardening

This major capital development project allowed the City Farm to give much better provision for educational groups – both children or adults – by providing shelter for gardening and craft activities. The ‘activity season’ is extended by enabling groups to happen whatever the weather in a variety of new and refurbished spaces.

Groundwork

The Groundwork project created a nature trail around the farm to awaken curiosity in our local wildlife, spark an interest in plants for pleasure and plants we can eat, and provide a secure and stimulating haven in which children can play and explore the natural environment.
