WINDMILL HILL CITY FARM
PRESS RELEASE

CORPORATE SPONSORSHIP SCHEME

We have begun approaching local companies and organisations about our corporate sponsorship scheme. We are hoping to find 100 companies who would sponsor us £500 or more, in return for being publicly recognised in the farm foyer with a plaque, and other benefits. If you work for, or know of any companies who might be interested in sponsoring us in this way, or making us their charity of the year next year, please email me with their contact details on This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. FARM 2010 CALENDAR

We have produced  a Farm calendar with pictures from the farm. It will be available to buy in the farm reception and at our fundraising events.

LOCAL PUBS AND COMPANIES COLLECTION TINS

We are organising some collection tins for companies and pubs who have offered to have them on their counters for us. Please let us know if you know anyone else who might like to do this for us.

LOCAL PRIMARY SCHOOLS

We are hoping to work with a couple of local primary schools to raise money through a sponsored event and a Christmas card competition. Details to follow as we have them...

EVENTS IN LOCAL STORE ENTRANCES

Raffles, tombolas etc. Currently being organised. Will keep you posted once we have more details to share...

IDEAS FOR THE NEW YEAR...

A money can't buy auction, an art installation at the farm, more music and pub events, collections at local sporting events, farm t-shirts, a Valentine's event, etc, etc

LONG TERM FUNDING APPLICATIONS

The above is what the fundraising appeal team have been working on, which will raise funds to keep the farm open in the short term. We also have another fundraising team who are focusing on larger bids for grants and awards, and these will take longer to come to fruition, but will bring vital resources to physically improve specific areas of the farm, as well as funds for operational activities. This funding, along with long term strategies and improvements to the farm's structure, should ensure an exciting future for the farm.

We hope this fundraising update has left you feeling as encouraged and inspired as we are.

Kind regards,

Carolyn Hecker
