The houses across the road The houses across the road they were very old terraced houses.
All about the cows.

They use to drag the cows down white house street down through philip street and several times the went through the passage way and then they had to back out.

Then they took them around and killed them for food.

All about the houses being bombed. All these houses got Bombed.

Because at the time your granddad, he came running down and they thought the Para chute  had landed at Railway street, and when they had got to the bottom part they realised it was not a Parachute , it was a mine.

That's what knocked it all down, it was a sea mine that got dumped and made a crater - anyway he got back sharpish when he realised what it was, he couldn't get back quick enough.

If you come from the park, under the bridge in front of you was Railway street, and you come to the tannery.

Then you come to boot lane, and it was the whole of  Railway street that got flattened by this see mine.
