Learn about the basic skills involved in making silver and copper jewellery and produce wearable pieces of your own design. Techniques include: soldering, sawing, basic forming, surface texturing and finishing.
Learners who have attended the beginners class will have the opportunity to extend their skills and be introduced to some more advanced techniques and processes, ie stone setting, chain making and rivets, enabling more complex and or refined pieces to be made.
This course is for complete beginners - have a go at creative textile projects such as appliqué, patchwork, embroidery by hand or machine, felt making, silk painting, crochet and knitting.
This course is for anyone who would like to be able to make their own dressmaking patterns. You will learn some easy pattern cutting techniques and there will be a chance to copy an old favourite garment.
A relaxed and fun environment in which to develop painting and drawing skills. An accessible class catering for all levels of ability, where learning takes place through demonstration and individual practice, with an emphasis on trying new techniques.
An informal and creative art class offering a rolling programme of various techniques and materials, including print-making, drawing, life-drawing and sculpture.
A course for beginners who wish to learn about making a stained glass panel, which also includes techniques for the intermediates such as fusing and painting on glass.
