needlecraft tasselMake do and mend (WEA - 10 sessions)
Exciting projects for beginners and the more experienced.
An introduction to a wide range of fascinating crafts such as knitting, crochet, embroidery, patchwork and applique, felt making and silk work. Exploring modern techniques, while remaining true to tradition.
Tuesdays 12.45 - 2.45pm
Start date: 21st September 2010 Cost: £75.00 (£20 concessions) + £5-£10 materials fee to be paid directly to the tutor.

This structured course will introduce you to the basic principles of painting and drawing through a variety of simple techniques.
Wednesdays 10.00 - 12.00
Start date: 22nd September 2010 
Cost: £75.00 (£20 concessions)+£10.00 materials fee to be paid directly to the tutor.

This class is for learners who have either done the beginners course or who have had prior experience.
Wednesdays 1.00 - 3.00pm
Start date: 22nd September 2010
Cost: £75.00 (£20 concessions)+£10.00 materials fee to be paid directly to the tutor.

 



soldering a silver earringSilver Jewellery Making Beginners (WEA - 16 sessions)
Learn to make silver and copper jewellery: soldering, sawing, forming and surface textures to produce wearable pieces. 
Thursdays 9.30 - 12noon
Start date: 7th May 2010
Cost: £160.00 (£30 concessions) + £20 Materials fee to be paid directly to the tutor. This will cover the cost of making a silver ring.

  


 

silver ringSilver Jewellery Making Improvers (WEA - 16 sessions)
Jewellery class for those with some experience, introducing further techniques to make more complex pieces.
Thursdays 1-3.30pm
Start date: 23rd September 2010
Cost: £160.00(£30 concessions) + £20 Materials fee to be paid directly to the tutor. This will cover the cost of making a silver ring.




stained glass flowerStained Glass Workshop 1(morning class) (WEA - 10 sessions)                                                  
This course will help you to design and make your own stained glass panel in a relaxed and friendly environment.
Techniques include: glass cutting, leading up, soldering and copper foiling.
Fridays 9.30-11.30am
Start date: 24th September 2010
Cost: £100.00 (£45 concessions) includes £25 Materials fee
